The here and the now:

#ICYMI, I'm nine months into my MS Journalism degree at USC Annenberg! Inside the halls of Annenberg, I'm pursuing multimedia political reporting, but exercising my muscles in all news beats and mediums. Outside of the classroom, I'm the Politics Editor for Annenberg Media, where I lead a team of dozens of reporters who write breaking news and long form features for the politics desk. I am an MMJ for Annenberg TV News, where I go live and package stories in the second largest broadcast market — Los Angeles. I've reported from the Iowa Caucus, and in October, I traveled to Brussels, Belgium on a reporting fellowship to cover the European Union and learn about foreign affairs reporting. I've just returned from Chennai, India to cover global religion and the prime minister election.

What I've Done:

I was the podcast host and producer of 'The Indy,' the podcast from the newsroom of the Santa Barbara Independent, where I released a weekly episode on news in the 805. I am a recent UC Santa Barbara grad where I studied Communication and Journalism, and walked the stage Summa Cum Laude last June. At UCSB, I was a producer and news anchor for UCSB TV, UC Santa Barbara's only broadcast station. In 2022, I touched down in Berlin to cover German politics and international conflict for ieiMedia's 'Berlin Beyond Borders.'

Interests:

Supreme Court precedent, fringe political movements, iced vanilla lattes, coding interactives, 80's rock n roll, NYT crossword puzzles and my trusty Shure MV7 mic.

Role Models:

Savannah Gunthrie, Rachel Scott and Dana Bash.
